Lake Baringo<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lake Baringo is located north of Lake Bogoria in the eastern arm of the Rift Valley. It is \u2013 together with Lake Naivasha \u2013 the only freshwater lake in the area. All other lakes in the eastern arm of the Rift Valley are alkaline. Thus, it provides habitat for many species of fish, which in turn serve as food for a large number of birds. It is particularly exciting to watch the African fish eagle hunting. Other inhabitants are storks, ibises and kingfishers.
