Welcome to

Mara Big Five Camp

Mara Big Five Camp is a 16-tent, solar-powered safari camp on the banks of the Talek river, on the edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destinations.

The riverside setting puts the camp within reach of rich game-viewing territory, from open savannah to riverine forest, home to the Big Five, giraffe, cheetah, and abundant birdlife. Game drives can be taken by vehicle or, with a guide, on foot.

As night falls, the camp gathers around the fire. Nighttime bonfires are part of the daily rhythm, a chance to listen to the bush waking up after dark and watch for signs of nocturnal wildlife. Solar power keeps the camp running quietly, reflecting a low-impact approach to hosting guests in one of Africa’s most important conservation landscapes.

Our Passion

Nature & Conservation

Our biggest passion is preserving nature. We prioritize creating awareness about nature conservation in our local ecosystems in the Maasai Mara, especially for our guests. We collaborate with Kenya Wildlife Service, Researchers, Universities, Journalists, and TV teams worldwide to achieve this.

This allows us to establish a connection between the local Maasai community members and other community projects that provide support.

Luxury & Tranquility

Every stay at Mara Big Five Camp follows the rhythm of the wild around it. Mornings begin early, with the Mara waking up in gold before the first game drive sets out. Afternoons bring the choice to rest at camp overlooking the Talek river, or head back out, from lion resting in the shade to elephant families moving toward water.

Evenings return to the fire, under a sky largely untouched by artificial light. Whether you are here for a romantic getaway, a family safari, or travelling solo, the camp gives every guest space to experience the Mara at their own pace.

Mara Big Five Camp also works alongside Kenya Wildlife Service, researchers, and conservation partners active in the region, part of a broader commitment to protecting the wildlife that brings guests here. Your stay supports that work directly.
